Small Business - Insurance As Unique As The Businesses





Working with creative production agency Brave Spark and media agency Jellyfish, Hiscox have delivered their latest advertising campaign running across digital OOH, display, social, YouTube, WeTransfer, digital and linear radio and podcast sponsorships.

The brief

Tailoring insurance for over 200,000 small businesses in the UK, at the heart of the creative was the need to drive greater brand awareness amongst a broad range of business owners, from management consultants, web designers and photographers to architects, wedding planners and personal trainers.

The Idea

The new ‘We’ve Got You Covered’ campaign is a demonstration of Hiscox’s commitment to providing insurance as unique as the businesses they cover. The creative is set on a black canvas which is used to showcase the highs and lows experienced by small business owners, with each story layering on top of the next.

Each individual ad captures a series of intimate and emotive business moments in which a diverse range of business owners are seen striving, struggling and achieving. Shot in different business settings, all footage captured feels candid, authentic and high energy and incorporates a mix of different media including footage caught on CCTV, mobile devices and webcams.

All ads feel accessible, relevant and confident in their execution.

The Result

At the heart of Brave Spark’s production approach was a modular creative framework, allowing all deliverables to be customised based on a small business owner's stage in their purchase journey from awareness, consideration to getting a quote.

This enabled media targeting to reach a breadth of small business owners with contextually relevant creative and messaging as part of continuing to build brand salience as experts in small business insurance.
